Description
In this ~3 hour class you will learn…
The details
Everyone will decorate a spectacular 6″ 4-layer Valentine’s Chocolate Explosion themed cake to take home.
This is a decorating class only – no baking involved. We’ll start with a 30’ish minute demo where I explain my recipes, my favorite ingredients and supplies, and then I’ll show you how to make buttercream, fill and use pastry bags, how to torte, fill and frost a cake, and finally how to decorate the cake. You’ll then work on your own cake and I’ll be there every step of the way.
An already-baked cake, cake & buttercream recipes, light refreshments, and all tools & supplies will be provided.
Close-toed shoes required due to use of a knife to torte your cake.
Are your classes suitable for kids?
In general, classes are geared more towards adults, but are suitable for most children ages 12 and up for cookie classes and 14 and up for cakes classes (knives involved). Everyone must have a ticket. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a participating and registered adult - no drop-offs.
What if I can’t make it to the class?
There are no refunds or transfers to other classes.
If you cannot attend and decide to have a friend come in your place, please contact me as early as possible before the class so I have the correct participant name and email in my records.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Yes! I will provide some light refreshments (snacks, water, juice, and mimosas for adults), but you are more than welcome to bring your own snacks or favorite drink to sip on.
What happens after I purchase a ticket?
Once you purchase a ticket, you’re all set! Immediately after you register, you will receive your ticket(s) via email with all of the class details, location, directions, etc. Just show up at the class time ready for some decorating fun and I recommend that you don't wear any clothing that you would be devastated to get food coloring on.
It says a class is “sold out”, is it really sold out?
Unfortunately, yes. I have limited space, so if a class you are interested says it's sold out - it really is sold out, sorry.
Is there a waiting list for sold out classes?
It is extremely rare that someone cancels since I don't offer refunds if a student can't make it. In the event that spots open up, I'll announce on Instagram, so make sure to follow and also sign up for my mailing list so you know when new classes are posted!
When will you be posting more classes?
Soon! I release classes in batches and if classes are close to selling out, then rest assured more are on the way. Make sure you are on my mailing list to be the first to hear so you can grab tickets before they sell out.
Are your classes taught in English?
Yes, all classes are taught in English only, however, since much of it is visual, we have had many non-English speaking students follow along just fine.
Do you host private classes or parties?
Yes, I do! If you would like to have your own private class/party for you and your friends/family (6 person minimum) in the comfort of your own home or venue, you can check the calendar for any available party slots during the holidays or contact me about other possible dates or for private lessons.
Do we get to take home cookie cutters or supplies?
Not unless you purchase them. All tools & supplies will be provided to use during the class. I will have some products for sale, but you do NOT need to bring any supplies or bake the cookies/cake ahead of time - I provide everything you need for the class.
Do you offer gluten free cookies?
If you sign up for a cookie class and have a gluten allergy or sensitivity, I can bake you a special batch of gluten free cookies for an extra charge. Purchase the add-on here.
Please note that while the cookies will be made with gluten free flour, I do not have a dedicated gluten free kitchen. There might still be trace amounts of gluten in your cookies.
What a great afternoon! Tyler is wonderful and I appreciated all her tips and tricks. I will definitely be back for more.”

Tyler is so herself when you go to her class. Always upbeat and she can fix almost any mistake you make. I have been to two of her classes and planning on more. Tyler is very patient and always kind.”
